Police Officers should immediately give to both parties at the time of the incident, a standard form, detailing the persons name, address and phone number along with their insurance information, including the owner of the vehicle and the car's identification.

Pros

Too often clients call me and they are in need of an rental and they have to wait days and even weeks to get the police report. Most of my clients have no rental on their cars, and quickly contacting the insurance company and setting up a rental, will get once less burden off of their shoulders during a very stressful time. Privacy of the individuals involved. However, you are entitled to this in a police report. Just give them the initial information contained in the police report.
